Participating in the Process Informatics Seminar | Revolutionizing materials development with the potential of general-purpose machine learning

Zhang Fan, Customer Success Engineer Matlantis Corporation, will be giving a lecture at the Process Informatics Seminar Series 3, "What the Corporate Frontline Speaks About: The Cutting Edge of AI and Informatics Use in Manufacturing," hosted by the Manufacturing AI Promotion Association.

Presentation title

"Innovating materials development with the potential of general-purpose machine learning"

Universal Machine Learning Potential (uMLIP) is a technology that combines first-principles level accuracy with overwhelming computational speed. This makes high-precision, large-scale computations, which were previously difficult, a reality. In this presentation, we will introduce application examples and related technologies using uMLIP.

Presenter

Bon Cho

Customer Success Engineer at Matlantis Corporation.

After receiving his Master's degree from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, he joined a chemical company focusing on materials development and materials informatics (MI). During his tenure there, he also earned his Ph.D. from the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST).
He joined Preferred Computational Chemistry, Inc. (now Matlantis Corporation) in 2025. His field of expertise includes machine learning and polymer science.
