Presentation at TechConnect World 2026

We are pleased to announce that Taku Watanabe, Principal Researcher at Matlantis Corp., will be an invited speaker at TechConnect World 2026, held in Raleigh, North Carolina from March 10 to 12, 2026.

Taku will present at the "AI, Modeling, and Simulation for Advanced Materials Design" symposium, sharing the latest advancements in AI-driven materials discovery and how Matlantis™ is revolutionizing atomistic simulations.

Presentation title

Bridging Accuracy and Scale: AI-Accelerated Atomistic Simulation with Matlantis™

Accelerating materials discovery requires bridging the gap between high simulation accuracy and industrially relevant scales. While traditional Machine-Learning Interatomic Potentials (MLIPs) often require costly, system-specific fine-tuning, Matlantis overcomes this with its universal core AI model, PreFerred Potential (PFP). Trained across 96 elements, PFP delivers out-of-the-box predictive power across vast chemical spaces without the need for prior adjustments.
In this session, we will highlight PFP’s predictive capabilities through practical case studies in industrial R&D, spanning catalysis, semiconductors, and energy materials. We will also introduce "LightPFP," a distilled model that enables ultra-large-scale simulations of up to 10^5 atoms. Join us to see how Matlantis is making high-fidelity atomistic simulation a routine and scalable tool for accelerating materials design.
