nano tech 2023 event report
This is an event report for nano tech 2023, which was held at Tokyo Big Sight from Wednesday, February 1st to Friday, February 3rd, 2023.
Preferred Computational Chemistry (PFCC) wins Materials Award
PFCC won the "Materials Award" at nano tech2023.
Reasons for award
They have developed a technology that uses deep learning artificial intelligence to perform atomic-level physical simulations in just a few seconds, which previously took several months. They are commended for making it possible to support the development of new materials such as catalysts and solid electrolytes from a software perspective.

Publication of presentation materials
We will release the materials for the PFCC special lecture at nano tech2023.
Lecture title
The easiest guide to materials informatics in Japan
~ What do material developers want from materials informatics? ~
overview
In recent years, there has been growing attention on materials informatics (MI) as a solution that will transform the materials industry. In Japan, chemical manufacturers and others have been actively working on MI, with success stories being reported and the amount of related information increasing. On the other hand, the increase in MI-related information can make it difficult for those who are just starting out in MI to organize and get an overview of the current situation.
In this presentation, we will summarize and overview the current state of MI and introduce the positioning of the general-purpose atomic-level simulator Matlantis (our service) in that context. We also candidly discussed the motivation for taking a step into the world of MI using the case of one material developer (speaker) as an example.
