[Event Report] Exhibited and presented at ACS Fall 2025

As previously announced, Matlantis Corporation and Preferred Networks, Inc. participated in the "ACS Meetings & Expos / ACS Fall 2025," held from August 17th to 21st, 2025, where we hosted a booth and gave Oral and poster presentations. In this article, we'll share a look at the event with photos.
*Please note that a more detailed report from our members is scheduled for a later date, so we hope you'll look forward to that as well.

What are the ACS Meetings & Expos?

ACS Meetings & Expos are one of the world's largest academic events in the field of chemistry, organized by the American Chemical Society (ACS), which has over 230,000 members.
Held twice a year (in spring and fall), the event brings together more than 15,000 researchers, corporate professionals, and students from around the world.
The event features a wide range of programs, including keynote speeches by Nobel laureates, cutting-edge technical sessions, symposia on specific topics, and poster sessions for researchers. Additionally, many companies, including Matlantis, set up booths to showcase the latest analytical instruments and software.
More than just a venue for research presentations, it plays an important role as a hub for the global chemistry community, creating opportunities for new collaborations and promoting networking between industry and academia.

Scenes from the Event

·The Venue

The venue for ACS Fall 2025 was the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.
The vast venue was filled with the enthusiasm of many researchers from around the world who had gathered for five days, and lively discussions were taking place everywhere about the latest research results.

·The Booth

Matlantis had a booth in the exhibition hall.
During the conference, researchers from universities and companies from around the world, mainly from the United States, stopped by our booth, where we introduced them to Matlantis's technology and initiatives.

Presentation

Two members from Matlantis gave poster presentations at this event. Additionally, PFN, the developer of PFP, delivered one oral presentation and one poster presentation related to Matlantis.

・Highlight: Oral Presentation

Hayashi from PFN delivered an oral presentation titled "Automated generation of reaction pathways using neural networks."
In his talk, he reported the initial results of a new, RCG-inspired approach for "unconditional generation," which is key to the fully automated discovery of chemical reaction pathways. This new method addresses and overcomes the challenges of conventional techniques, such as the need to specify reacting atoms. He also reported experimental attempts at reaction pathway exploration in large-scale systems, capturing significant attention from the audience.

・Lively Discussions at Poster Presentations

We delivered a total of three poster presentations, and we were delighted that many attendees stopped by to engage in discussion.

Shinagawa from PFN, one of the developers of PFP, gave a poster presentation on the newly developed r2SCAN mode for PFP v8. Many visitors stopped by, leading to lively discussions.

Additionally, Yonezawa and Nagoya from Matlantis gave poster presentations on the following respective topics:
・"NMR chemical shift prediction with PFP descriptor: An application of universal machine learning interatomic potential" (Yonezawa)
・"Application of a universal graph neural network potential for molecular dynamics of liquid phases" (Nagoya)

Conclusion

Our participation in ACS Fall 2025 was a valuable opportunity, not only to introduce Matlantis's technology but also to speak directly and engage in lively discussions with the many distinguished researchers gathered from around the world. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who stopped by our booth and attended our presentations.
Interacting with these researchers at the forefront of their fields is incredibly meaningful for our mission to contribute to the advancement of the academic community. Moving forward, Matlantis will leverage the new insights gained from such events to continuously drive the latest technological developments and help solve our customers' challenges.

Matlantis is committed to accelerating the work of researchers worldwide and transforming their style of research.
