Presenting at the 5th Molecular Science Simulation Workshop | Matlantis pioneers organic and interface reaction analysis

Makoto Sato, Senior Customer Success Engineer Matlantis Corporation, will give a talk at the 5th Molecular Science Simulation Workshop, "Pioneering the Future of Materials Development with Computational Science - The Frontiers of Theory, Application, and Management," hosted by HPC Systems Co., Ltd. In addition, Hodaka Mori, Researcher at PreferredNetworks Inc., will also give a talk on the results of joint research with external companies in the field of materials development.

Presentation title

"Reaction analysis of organic and interfacial reactions using general-purpose machine learning potentials"

In this presentation, we will present a case study in which we used the general machine learning potential (PFP) to perform computational chemistry analysis of chemical reactions important for materials development. In addition to papers and internal case studies using PFP, we will also report results using applied technologies such as GRRM and Light-PFP. We believe that we can provide useful information for those developing catalysts, batteries, and semiconductor-related materials, so please join us.

Presenter

Makoto Sato

Senior Customer Success Engineer, Matlantis Corporation

After obtaining his PhD in Science from Rikkyo University in 2011, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Rikkyo University and Nagoya University, researching physical organic chemistry and organic molecular catalysts. During this time, he also served as a part-time lecturer at Rikkyo University and Ochanomizu University. In 2018, he worked at a semiconductor materials company, and in 2023 at the Central Technical Research Institute of ENEOS Corporation, before joining PFCC (now Matlantis). He is currently engaged in computational work in the areas of polymer and semiconductor materials, where organic chemical reactions are important.
