[Event report] Matlantis User Conference 2024

On October 2, 2024, PFCC held its first user community event, "Matlantis User Conference 2024." With the cooperation of our users, this event was a great success. The theme of this event was "A paradigm shift in materials development - the evolution of R&D brought about by Matlantis," and users who regularly use Matlantis gave presentations on use cases and stories of transformation in research and development.

During the lecture

On the day, the Shinagawa venue was visited by 72 companies and research institutes, nearly 200 users from all over Japan. People who wanted to bring about change in materials development through computational chemistry gathered in one place, and lively discussions were held on the use cases of Matlantis, the background to its introduction, and the dissemination and educational activities of computational chemistry and materials informatics technology within their organizations. Many positive comments were received from the participants, such as "I was surprised that there were so many users," and "It was good to hear about use cases from other companies that I don't usually hear about."

We hope that this event was an opportunity for all participants to get a feel for the future of materials science. We will continue to provide opportunities for communication between users like this in the future, so we at PFCC look forward to seeing those who were unable to attend this time at the next opportunity.

We will continue to work with more companies and research institutes to contribute to the creation of innovative materials and promote the realization of a sustainable world. Thank you very much to everyone who participated in the Matlantis User Conference 2024.
