[Webinar Report] Evolution of Matlantis and introduction of new feature LightPFP

On May 30, 2024, we held a webinar titled "The evolution of Matlantis and introducing the new LightPFP feature."
Thank you very much to everyone who participated. We will be publishing some of the materials.
We will continue to provide information on various occasions in the future, so even if you were unable to attend this time, we hope you will continue to pay attention to it.

Abstract

It will soon be three years since the release of Matlantis, and its features are being updated daily.
The first half will introduce the changes over the past three years and the current version.
In the second half, we introduced LightPFP, a new and exciting feature (scheduled for release).

①The Evolution of Matlantis

Since the launch of our service in 2021, we have been gradually expanding the performance and integration functions of the models provided by Matlantis based on customer requests. The most notable of these is the expansion of the number of supported element types. Initially, it supported 55 types, but the next update will support up to 96 types. On this occasion of the third anniversary, we introduced the evolution of Matlantis and its current performance and functions along with calculation examples.

② Introducing the new LightPFP feature

Customers have long been requesting the ability to build their own machine learning force field (NNP) tailored to individual situations in order to perform larger-scale, longer-duration calculations.
To achieve this, we are launching a new function called "LightPFP". With conventional methods, building a new force field requires several months of data generation, learning, and evaluation, but with our newly developed LightPFP, this force field can be generated in just half a day. We introduced this function along with a calculation example.
