Joshua Young
Senior Application Scientist
Matlantis Inc. (USA)
Joshua received his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Drexel University, followed by appointments at the Naval Research Laboratory, Binghamton University, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Over the course of his career, he has used a wide variety of computational techniques, including density functional theory, molecular dynamics, and materials informatics/machine learning, to study and design materials for electronics, batteries, catalysis, and more.

Lieven Bekaert
Customer Success Engineer
Matlantis Corp. (JPN)
Lieven completed a BSc/MSc in Chemistry and a PhD in Engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, during which he applied computational chemistry (first-principle and machine-learning potential methods) to investigate electrode-electrolyte reactions for solid-state inorganic and polymer electrolytes in rechargeable lithium and sodium ion batteries. His current focus is on battery chemistry and the investigation of interfaces, particularly for international clients.

Qing-Jie Li
Senior Application Scientist
Matlantis Inc. (USA)
After receiving his Ph.D.in Materials Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, he was a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT, where his research focused on developing and applying machine learning interatomic potentials (MLIP) for energy materials. He then worked as a Senior Engineer at Samsung Semiconductor US, contributing to computational materials discovery for battery applications before joining Matlantis, Inc. He is currently focused on sustainable materials solutions through the application of computational materials science and artificial intelligence (AI).

浅野 裕介(Yusuke Asano)
カスタマーサクセス統括
Matlantis 株式会社 (JPN)
After completing a Master’s Degree in Science and Engineering at Sophia University, he worked as a researcher at a Japanese chemical company for approximately 12 years. During this time, his research and development focused on semiconductor materials, including ArF immersion photoresists and CMP materials. He was also dispatched for overseas research to the Grant Willson group at The University of Texas at Austin, where he worked on DSA.
Following a position at ENEOS starting in March 2019 , where he researched material design using Materials Informatics and was involved in the development of material design methods using universal machine learning inter-atomic potential (uMLIP), he joined Matlantis corp. in a Customer Success role. His field of expertise includes organic synthesis, polymer synthesis/evaluation, photoresist materials, self-assembly materials, machine learning, atomistic-level simulation, patent analysis, and literature analysis. His interests include new material exploration, panoramic analysis, and trend analysis.
